Pink Horseys

E: Daddy, I want a pink one, not a black one. Black isn't my favorite color but pink is my favorite color.
Me: What do you mean? Pink or black one of what?
E: The horsey! The horsey I'll ride on vacation.
Me: Oh, honey God doesn't make pink horses. I'm sorry.
E: Well, who makes pink horses?

*sigh* :-)

Four Year Olds Understand Transitive Relation?

Tonight after putting E in bed, I read her the story of Daniel and the Lion's Den. After we finished the book:

E: "Daddy, Jesus was in the story."
Me: "No E, Jesus wasn't in the story because Jesus wasn't here until after Daniel lived."
E: "Who saved Daniel?"
Me: "God."
E: "But Jesus is God!"
Me: "Ok, yes you're right, I guess Jesus was in the story."

Wow. I didn't know that four year olds could grasp the concept of transitive relations. She must be a genius. We should enroll her in a preschool Calculus class or something. Now, if she had quoted John 1:1 to me to prove that God and Jesus were one even during Daniel's time, that would have been really impressive! Maybe we should work on mathematical proofs next and then ease into the Calculus...

Things Four Year Olds Say

In the last 24 hours, E has asked two questions that crack me up: "Mommy, where do we sleep in heaven?" and "Can I give you a spanking?". Where did she decide that we sleep when we're in heaven? The living room. And no, she didn't get to give anyone a spanking.

She is sooo cute! I loved that conversation I had with her about where we sleep in heaven!

She didn't give me a spanking but I got a love pat! She has been cracking me up lately!

Ice Skating

As my Christmas present, Casey bought a new camcorder. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but I managed to get some video of E's ice skating lessons yesterday posted to YouTube. Enjoy!

That sweet little girl is waaaay too cute! I felt so sad for her at the end when she was looking back at Mommy and Daddy and lost her balance...:-(. However, she seemed quite skilled on her ice skates - wow!

She's adorable!

Preschooler Bible Verses

E: "I'm a wonderful maid. Psalm 139:14." I'm not sure that the brand new E translation is quite as accurate as some of the others!

E's First Day

Today was E's first day of preschool. She was pumped this morning, and I got to be part of the action in dropping her off. Really, there wasn't much to it. We went into the building and she walked into her classroom and was done with us. Take E to school: check. I even remembered shoes.

She had a great day, and was excited to tell about it. She even said a couple of things in Spanish that we don't understand. Crazy. Tonight we realized that she's going to start using Spanish words and we won't have a clue what she's saying.

Thank you for being there today sweetie! I can't believe she is in pre-school! Her speaking Spanish tonight was funny and we might be in trouble soon!

It is a little sad that she didn't even give us a hug

I'm so glad Emma had a great first day! Maybe she can teach Colin some spanish...

I had to chuckle about Colin speaking Spanish. :-)

My Purpose

So today I was feeding K bananas and green beans, while doing this E was on the potty screaming "mommy, I went poopy come look" and M was asking for cheese over and over. There was chaos all around but all I could do was smile. I truly feel God placed me on this Earth to be a mother and guide them in the way of the Lord! I love being a child of God and I love being a mother! I am truly blessed to have three wonderful daughters! Things may get crazy and I may have hard days but I wouldn't trade it for anything! I hope that God will bless me with a large family someday, I love being a mommy! I may not drive a fancy car, carry a name brand purse, live in a huge house, or have all of my wants but I have everything I will ever need! I have a wonderful husband, three wonderful daughters and life is good!

I have updated some of my pictures there are new pics in the following galleries: E 3 years, M 2 years, K first year, K monthly pictures, and in the family album the sisters gallery! I hope you enjoy them!

Want to Know What Happens...

When you go upstairs to put away clothes and you have a toddler and a preschooler?

*dirty clothes get taken out of the basket and placed all over the floor
*important doctor papers that you didn't know they could reach get crumbled up and thrown all over.
*house decorations get taken apart

I forgot to mention I have two wonderful beautiful children for sale! Ages 3 and almost 2. I will sell to the best offer.
