Pink Horseys

E: Daddy, I want a pink one, not a black one. Black isn't my favorite color but pink is my favorite color.
Me: What do you mean? Pink or black one of what?
E: The horsey! The horsey I'll ride on vacation.
Me: Oh, honey God doesn't make pink horses. I'm sorry.
E: Well, who makes pink horses?

*sigh* :-)

Fair Park

As you've heard, we're a fan of the Dallas World Aquarium and have been several times. Apparently there's a much older and lesser travelled aquarium called the Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park. We heard about it on the news because the City of Dallas is looking at budget cuts in the fall and is considering closing it. After looking at their web site and seeing how cheap it was, we decided we needed to go. We weren't sure what to expect and certainly thought it'd be much smaller, but last weekend when my mom was in town we loaded everybody up and went down to Fair Park. We were really happy with the whole trip. It is tiny compared to DWA, but I got better fish pictures there than I ever have. The girls got to touch a horseshoe crab and see a baby turtle up close. After we left there, we got snow cones at a stand just outside and wandered around. It's been so long since I have been down there I had forgotten how cool of a place it is to go to. We wandered around the pond and then went in to see the IMAX projector get prepped and started. Emma was very excited to see the huge reels of film start moving and watch the giant projector slide all the way up to the ceiling to start playing the movie.

I think we'll be going down there again soon. Maybe the museum will be our next stop!

It was a lot of fun! I can't wait to go to the museum. I want to go to the planetarium as well. I can't wait to see your pictures!

Sorting and Matching

Madison likes to match and sort. Today she matched the colors of the crayons with the sugar packets at lunch. She also pulled out all of the white packets and lined them up end to end, ensuring that all of them faced the exact same direction.
