Madison had her surgery this morning and she was such a trooper! Everything went as expected and we will find out full results in 6 weeks. She has been sleepy all day today and not her normal Madison. Most kids are back to themselves the same afternoon but of course Madison is our little drama queen,as everyone knows, so she is taking a little longer. Her eyes are bright red and that is very hard for me to see. They will continue to be red for up to 3 months. All of the nurses just loved her and all said she was such a big girl. I am so proud of her. We really appreciate all of your support and prayers! I will keep everyone updated on her progress!
Friday I got to meet Colin Roman Pacheco!! He is such a cutie and he looks just like his daddy and has his mommy's nose! I could barely tell that Kristen gave birth today she looked amazing and beautiful. He is so handsome and such a sweet little baby. I didn't have my camera with me today so hopefully when Chris and I go back I can get some pictures of the handsome little guy! I can already tell that Roman and Kristen will be great parents and Colin is blessed to have them as his. What a sweet little blessing.
Hopefully pictures will be up soon!!!!
Román and Kristen called me at 1 am to tell me that Kristen was in labor. Her water broke last night and by 6 this morning she was 9cm. I don't know if Baby Boy Pacheco is in this world yet but he will be soon if he isn't already. We are so excited for them and know they have waited a long 9 months for this blessing. Congratulations!!! I will give more details about his name, weight etc..Once I know.
Please keep the Pacheco's in your prayers!
Wow yesterday Emma turned 2 1/2 years old! I can't believe it, she is just growing so fast. She can now get her self dressed, knows most of her colors, can say her abcs, count to 10, and her language is just amazing. She moved up to a big girl room at church, they actually do lessons now, it was hard to see her move up but she is really enjoying it and never wants to leave church! She is so cute about prayer! She reminds us to pray before every meal and before bedtime! She was afraid of thunderstorms but we told her that it was God clapping the clouds together to bring rain and she was no longer afraid of it. Of course we do have to remind her everytime it thunders but she is fine once we say that! Last night we had a thunderstorm and this morning when she woke up she told me "mommy, God clapped last night" Just so cute!!!
She is very excited that mommy has a baby in her belly and loves looking at the ultrasound pictures of Paige. Emma also claims now that she has a baby in her belly. Emma is such a great big sister, she is very protective of Madison and I know she will be good with Paige as well.
Emma is following in my footsteps and loves Disney. She loves Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, buzz, woody and of course the Princesses. She gets so excited when she finds one of the characters on something when we are out! We told her that in a couple of months we will go visit Mickey and she is so thrilled! She asks me all the time now, "we go see Mickey?"
I can't believe that in 6 months she will be 3 years old. She was just born yesterday, wasn't she?
Prince Charming had been in our lives for a couple of weeks, he was Emma's first real pet. He had developed an illness and Chris was going to do a water change to see if that helped him. Well, as he was changing the water Prince Charming accidentally flopped down the garbage desposal, which was not on. Being the hero that he is Chris reached down the drain and rescued Prince Charming. Unfortunately he got cut and started bleeding and died, the fish not Chris, shortly after.
Emma's beloved fish, Prince Charming, passed away on August 16th at around 6 pm. Even though he was only with us a short time he had become a part of the family and he will be missed. Services were held this evening shortly after his death. Any donations towards a "we are sorry he passed" fish for Emma are appreciated and can be dealt through Chris Kolb.
Yes, it's hot. That's because it's summer. But try telling that to the cows that live in a field near our house. Many days while I'm on my way home, there's a single cow out in the middle of the field's small pond, neck-deep in the water. I look at the other hundred cows out there in the heat and I wonder where the one smart cow came from.
So today while I was driving I went through a construction zone and saw a sign men working. A question came to my mind, What if a women was working?
Also, is it bad if your OB says wow you are starting to take on that pregnant belly?
