So, uh... somewhere along the line I lost the ability to keep the site up to date. I'm not even sure anyone is reading this. :-) Well anyway, we survived the storm last night. It was a big series but fortunately no actual tornados were spotted near us. Woo hoo for survival!
Some of you may know I have a fear of thunderstorms...Well, we got a call from my mom saying that rotation had been spotted so we turned on the tv and sure enough major storms in the Denton area. There were rotation markers on the radar heading right for us. It was scary to actually hear our street on the tv saying upper level rotation was above us. We got the girls and sat in the closet under the stairs. Luckily it passed quickly and no ground rotation happened. This is the closest I have ever been to having a tornado and I am freaked out, I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight now.
Does anyone know how to make your heart slow down?
YEAAAA Doug and Lisa are expecting a new little Angel! Lisa found out last week that she was pregnant and I couldn't be happier for her! She is due in November/December. She will have a better date at her first sonogram in a few weeks! I am so happy for them because I know how much she wanted another one.
There really must be something in the water, I know a lot of people who are pregnant. Hmmm, I wonder who might end up pregnant next ;)
CRAWLING! A little, anyway! It's a start.
For those of you who don't know, Madison has therapy 3 times a week. She has vision, mobility, occupational, and speech therapy. Well, I found out today that she will no longer need the speech therapy at this time! If she falls behind again then she will start again. She is saying mama and dada, it is so wonderful to hear! Starting this summer she will go back to having 3 sessions a week, we are going to start a therapy that involves swimming. I am interested to see how that goes!
Emma still amazes me each day! She now asks to go sit on the potty regularly, so far she has only gone once but she is trying. She no longer likes to wear diapers but asks for the big girl pants, pull ups. Her speech blows my mind each day. Her latest thing is pointing out stuff while we drive "mommy, look it's a bird", "mommy, there's a doggy" she also asks for things in such a nice manner "mommy more water please" and follows with a "Thank you MOMMY!" She talks in sentences now, it is so hard to believe.
Emma will be starting dance class next weekend. She got ballet shoes, tap shoes, leotards, tights, and a bag to carry it all in. She loves to dance when she hears music so hopefully she will enjoy it. Auntie, or as Emma calls her titi, is already talking about starting flexibilty exercises.
I guess that is all that is going on in our world. Chris turn 25 in 20 minutes! Happy Birthday Sweetie!!!!
I will be going on a women's retreat this weekend with church! Which, I don't think we have mentioned but we changed churches. We now attend Coppell Bible Fellowship, we are looking forward to becoming members there! So poor Chris will be stuck with the two girls! Good luck honey.
I would also like to ask for a prayer request, Karys seems to be having some trouble. They don't know if she has a virus, if it is allergies, or something else but she could use some prayers to feel better. Also, for Tabitha and Chad who are both working and taking care of a newborn. My sister took maybe 2 weeks maternity leave, work is just so crazy for them. I think they could use some prayers. Thanks everyone!
