ECI

We finally have appointments with ECI. Madison's first appointment is Thursday at 3. At this appointment they will do an intake and then come back for her second appointment on Feb. 8th. On the 8th they will do an evaluation and bring an occupational therapist. They will decide what type of therapists Madison needs and then we will get started. They come to our home and help teach us what we can do to help Madison out. I am very excited and can't wait. I will post how Thursday goes.

Ohh and please keep my sister, Tabitha in your prayers. She is due with her third child (but first girl) in March. She has had some problems and is supposed to be on a modified bedrest. If you could just pray for everything to go better I would appreciate it. The baby's name is Karys. I know the power of prayer and I know she could really use some! Thanks everyone!

We had a really good weekend... How about you?

Our weekend was great. Casey summed it up perfectly last night as we got into bed with, "This was one of the best weekends we've had in a long time." It was good, and yet there's nothing specific that I could tell you that makes it such a good weekend. We just spent time together, and had a lot of fun doing nothing out of the ordinary.

Blockbuster vs Netflix

Casey and I are attempting to make these next few months (and hopefully the whole year) our best from the financial perspective. We've cut back in a number of areas, while still leaving room for fun since no one sticks with a budget that has no fun money, and once you start to stray you pretty much end up throwing the whole thing out the window (as we've learned in the past). Part of the whole idea is staying home a little more so that we don't use as much gas or eat out just because we're not at home. So in the spirit of "spending money to save money"... (errr.... huh?), we decided to sign up for an online DVD rental service.

I knew of the two big ones, Netflix and Blockbuster. Apparently there aren't any others. Walmart used to do it but they shut down in June and now refer you to Netflix. So, when I noticed that both of the contenders had the same price, we signed up for Blockbuster because you get two free in-store rentals each month and they have a distribution center in McKinney -- so we should get everything to and from in one day. We look forward to getting our first ones...

Oh, and in case you're interested I used the coupon code pmentpub. Don't worry, it's no secret, I found it on a number of sites.

I signed up for Netflix but I didn't research the options. There's a coppell distro for it so that works out for me. So far it's been very easy to use.

Yup, I read about the Coppell distro -- it actually made it hard to decide which one would be faster for us. I'm actually not certain, but we shall see...

This one is probably going to be much like the less filling, tastes great arguement . .. but I like netflix :)

I have not tried blockbusters, but had a friend that had a few delays with them.

I live about 30 miles or so from the netflix warehouse and have gotten all of my discs next day.

We also did this to save money and it has helped out. it is spending money to save money, but it actually has saved us some money.

One possible negative thing was that we got hooked on 24 and have stayed up very very late watching it because we just can't stop.

David

Short Update of the Girls

I am soooo excited! After weeks on not eating any jar food, Madison finally ate 1/2 jar tonight! Woohoo I am so excited and I hope that this is the start to many months of eating jar food!

Emma's language is growing with each day! Everyday she surprises me with new words and sentences! She can now tell me what she wants or if something hurts. She even asks for diaper changes! Wow, she will be 2 next month, I can't believe it.

Those Weather People

So, everyday I check all of the local news stations websites to see what the weather will be for the next few days. CBS said that Friday will be 63 and Saturday will be 83, ABC said Friday 63 and Saturday 76, NBC said Friday 55 and Saturday 69, and finally FOX said Friday 61 and Saturday 78. How is it that some of them can be sooo different from the others? NBC in particular there is a big difference between 83 and 69. I just don't understand how they can be so different. Seriously I don't know how to dress everyone this weekend and that irks me. I am a planner and sadly I plan out the girls and my outfits a day or two in advance.

I know I need help..But come on give me a forecast I can work with people.
